About me

I joined Sundaram Finance in 2014 at a branch counter in Shahpur. Twelve years later I'm on the National Retail Team in Chennai. Every role taught me the same thing — most operational failures aren't people problems, they're design problems.

Day to day, I track enquiry lifecycles across the branch network and pull Vahan registration data to figure out where the market is actually moving. The Excel models I build off that data are meant to force a decision, not sit in someone's inbox.

At some point I stopped asking "why did this branch miss?" and started asking "why is this process built this way?" That's the product lens. The IIT Roorkee program is making it formal.

Still at Sundaram Finance — running enquiry lifecycles, building market analytics, treating every operational problem as a product design exercise. Alongside that, finishing the PM with Applied AI program at iHUB DivyaSampark, IIT Roorkee. The program is the calibration I need against how tech companies outside NBFCs actually build things.

April 2024 to present · Chennai

  • Operations: Own the national lead lifecycle — first enquiry to disbursal. Pull Vahan registration data to track where OEM market share is shifting and flag gaps between what branches are doing and what the national target needs.
  • Tooling: Took scattered automation scripts from different teams, consolidated them into standard workflows. Cut 20-25% off manual processing time.
  • Dashboards: Built leading-indicator views in Power BI and Excel to track field officer productivity. The point isn't reporting — it's making sure a stuck process gets attention before month-end.

AI credit appraisal system

An end-to-end product build for auto-approving vehicle finance applications. The kind of tool I wished existed after ten years of watching credit files move through branches by hand. Complete product execution — PRD, database schema, policy engine with Approve/Maybe/Reject decision bands, and a working UI prototype.

World of Coins

A browsable atlas of my coin collection. 770 coins from 102 countries, catalogued on Numista and mapped country by country. Curated exhibitions for specific series — the British round pound, Chinese zodiac bimetallics, Indian five-rupee alloy variations. Interactive choropleth map, gallery view, and country-level drill-downs.
